Are you ready for Beyonce’s new fashionable collaboration?
The 41-year-old Renaissance icon has announced that she is entering into a partnership with Balmain to create a line that is inspired by her new album.
The new partnership comes as it was revealed that she and Adidas have mutually agreed to part ways after a five-year partnership.
Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousting announced the partnership on Friday (March 24). He revealed how it all came to be, sharing that he was endlessly inspired by Renaissance. This led to him sketching looks inspired by the music. He reached out to Beyonce to propose “an actual, true collaboration between two creators whoa re both obsessed with pushing their art to the next level.”
Beyonce agreed and worked alongside Olivier as well s her stylist Marni Senofonte for a line of couture creations as “co-designers.”
Olivier wrote:
“From the beginning, we knew that this collaboration was going to be unlike any of the others that either of us had worked on before. We jumped in, headfirst, with no commercial game plan — for this is a collection that is based completely on our shared passion for melding together music and fashion.
Together, we created this one-of-a-kind couture collection, with each silhouette directly inspired by a specific RENAISSANCE composition.”
Beyonce took to Instagram to share the incredible news, gushing:
“Designing alongside you was freeing – thank you for allowing me to celebrate the human form, to take artistic risks, to push boundaries and to freely express myself.”
