Billie Eilish is laughing off the audience’s reactions about her 2019 interview with Jimmy Kimmel.
The GRAMMY-winning artist recently sat down with the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live where, at one point, they reminisced about the last time she visited the show.
Jimmy was introducing a bucket list that Billie had written back, erroneously mentioning that the singer wrote it when she was 14.
“12,” Billie corrected.
“Oh, 2014,” Jimmy amended, realizing his mistake.
“How old were you in 2014?” Billie asked.
“So old I can’t even add it up,” the host joked.
“Wait, really quick,” Billie said with a big smile. “Do you remember last time I was here?”
Jimmy responded that he did, to which Billie added, “And you made me look a little stupid?”
“Well, yeah, accidentally. I didn’t do it on purpose,” he explained.
“I thought it was funny because I was playing along, and everybody thought I was actually serious and didn’t know anything,” Billie shared.
“As I recall, you weren’t familiar with Van Halen, and I was like, ‘What!’” Jimmy recollected.
“Yes, there was a lot things you asked, and I was like, ‘I don’t know.’” she replied, to which Jimmy added, “everyone jumped down your throat, like, ‘Oh, you should know who Van Halen is.’”
“It was funny—I didn’t really care,” she said.
Back in 2019, when Billie visited Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy asked the “Bad Guy” singer, who was born in 2001, about 80s pop culture trivia, including if she was familiar with Van Halen.
“Who?” Billie had replied at the time, which led Jimmy to quip, “I’m gonna start crying.”
Billie still got some payback during her new interview.
Later on in the episode, Jimmy helped her cross some things off of her 2014 bucket list – which included getting a mouse and punching someone.
Jimmy presented himself a willing target, joking that “I’m probably the strongest one here.”
“Well, the goal was for the face, but I’m not going to do that to you,” she quipped, before punching the host in the gut.
