Billie Eilish has lost a ton of followers – about 100k, if anyone’s counting.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed the sudden drop in the number of Billie’s Instagram followers, which went from 73 Million to 72.9 Million, and posted about it on social media.
“BYE NOT HER LOSING 100K CUZ OF BOOBS,” a fan wrote alongside screenshots of Billie’s IG profile page.
…And now you’re probably wondering what this has got to do with boobs.
It seems to have begun when Billie joined the “Post a Picture Of” Instagram challenge, where fans fill in the prompt of the pic they’d like the singer to share – there were requests for her to post a pic of the lockscreen on her phone. Some also asked her to share the drawing she’s really proud of.
So, Billie obliged and shared a screenshot of her lockscreen, which features a painting of two nude women. She also posted a drawing of a collage of naked bodies and snakes, which she captioned “lol i love boobs.”
Okay, so both images featured breasts quite prominently…and soon after, approximately 100k followers unfollowed.
To be fair, it’s not exactly clear if that was in fact what caused her fans to abandon her in droves. However, the drop in her follower count had Billie cracking up and shaking her head.
Remember the tweet mentioned at the beginning? Well, Billie came across it too, and reposted it on her IG story, writing, “LMFAOOO y’all babies smh.”
