Blake Lively just added another milestone to her already impressive resume—and she’s taking a moment to reflect on what it means.

The 37-year-old actress stepped out in London earlier this week to celebrate her upcoming film, Another Simple Favor, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 dark comedy. Dressed in a laid-back denim ensemble that was classic Blake—cool, effortless, and just the right amount of glam—she arrived at the Hamyard Hotel for a special screening on Tuesday night (April 15). But the red carpet wasn’t the only place she was being honored this week.

The following day, TIME Magazine announced its list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2025, and yes, Blake Lively was among the chosen few.

While Blake has long been admired for her acting chops, fashion sense, and sense of humor (if you’ve ever scrolled her Instagram captions, you know), her inclusion on the TIME 100 list recognizes something much deeper: her growing influence as a voice for change, both in and out of Hollywood.

Famed civil rights lawyer Sherrilyn Ifill—former president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund—penned a moving tribute for the actress as part of the TIME list. Blake was clearly touched, and took to Instagram to share her thoughts on receiving the honor.

“It’s an honor to be acknowledged on the @time 100 list for 2025🤍🙏🤍,” Blake wrote in her post. “To be written about by the great @sherrilynifill is not something I take lightly. Her work has shaped our nation. WHO SHE IS – as a human, woman, mother, leader, fighter, healer, empath, risk taker and dream maker- has shaped my heart and also my stamina to never stop believing in a future that’s better and safer for everyone.”

She continued, “Thank you @time And thank you @sherrilynifill for one of the most surreal and meaningful moments of my life in this honor. My 10 year old self is pretty blown away right now. 🎈🥹✨”

Blake’s inclusion on the list comes at an interesting moment in her career—she’s currently in the midst of a legal dispute involving It Ends With Us, the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. Blake not only stars in the movie but also clashed behind the scenes with director and co-star Justin Baldoni, resulting in a lawsuit filed last year.
