Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially husband and wife!
After nearly six years together – less than a year of it engaged – the two music stars exchanged “I do’s” in an intimate ceremony on Saturday (July 3) at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch, according to multiple reports.
Per Page Six, the couple tied the knot at a chapel that Blake had built on his property – he reportedly had it built for this very occasion!
Blake and Gwen announced their engagement in October 2020, and have been teasing about their wedding plans since.
Back in April, Gwen opened up about wanting to keep the weeding intimate during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
“We’re keeping it very simple. Really simple,” she said. “I think the guest list will not have a lot of musicians. It’ll be like my mom and my dad. It’s literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though.”
In May, Blake revealed the song to their first dance to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “It’s ‘If You Leave’ from the Pretty In Pink soundtrack,” he said during his appearance. “We talked about this. We both love the song. We’re both fans of the ’80s, why not? Don’t you think that would be a great one, though? We’ve literally talked about that.”
Less than a month earlier, the two sparked speculations that they may have secretly tied the knot after Gwen was spotted wearing a diamond band on her left hand. However, the rumors were soon debunked when the two got a marriage license in Oklahoma last week.
Gwen’s parents, Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn, were snapped at the venue, and according to previous reports, her three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale were already at the ranch.
Blake had previously opened up about the importance of having Gwen’s kids when they tied the knot.
“The only thing I had planned was that I knew I wanted to do it in Oklahoma while all her kids were there [as well as our siblings],” he shared during his appearance on The Bobby Bones Show. “We have a group that we get together on [most holidays] with those two parts of our extended family, and it’s been like that for years. I wanted everybody to be there in the moment. I didn’t want to take her away or do something private away from the kids. I felt like it was important for the kids to be a part of that moment, so that’s what I did.”
The loved-up couple reportedly had celebrations lined up for the Fourth of July weekend.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs!
