Brian Austin Green is opening up about recent health troubles.
The 48-year-old former Beverly Hills 90210 star took to social media on Wednesday to share why he has not been posting for quite some time.
In a video posted on Instagram, he said:
“I disappeared from Instagram for a while. I had Ulcerative colitis for about six, six and a half weeks, which wasn’t very fun. Horrible timing. Horrible timing.”
He revealed that he was bedridden, and gave a loving shout-out to his ladylove Sharna Burgess for looking after him and his kids:
“Sharna was amazing. Six, seven months pregnant, taking care of my three young kids, cause I was pretty bedridden for a while.
Taking care of me. Not complaining. Being amazing. I am super thankful to have someone like her in my life.”
The Mayo Clinic defines ulcerative colitis as an inflammatory bowel disease causing inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract. It affects the innermost lining of your rectum and large intestine. Symptoms tend to develop over time.
Brian and Sharna announced back in February that they are expecting their first child together. This is the first child for Sharna. Brian shares a 19-year-old son with ex Vanessa Marcil, and three sons with ex-wife Megan Fox.
