Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are over.
The 41-year-old pop superstar and the 29-year-old fitness model and actor have gone their separate ways just over a year after they exchanged vows, and almost seven years after their relationship started on the set of Britney’s “Slumber Party” music video back in 2016.
Outlets report that the split happened following a fight that involved allegations of cheating. Allegedly, Sam confronted Britney over rumors that she cheated on him. While there is no confirmation regarding the rumors, Sam believed them, which led to them fighting.
Sam has reportedly moved out of their house and is now staying in a place of his own.
According to the reports, there has been “deep trouble” in Britney and Sam’s marriage for months, and Sam has not been sleeping in their home much. The reports also allege that Britney has gotten physical with him in fights which include frequent screaming matches.
After news broke of their split, new reports soon followed stating that Sam has filed for divorce.
The divorce news comes just hours after the separation was confirmed. He has already filed the paperwork for a divorce from Britney.
Britney is said to have a prenup which protects her assets. The two do not share any kids together.
