Britney Spears is seemingly saying sorry to Alexa Nikolas.
Alexa, who starred on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 alongside Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears, recently revealed that Britney yelled at her once while on set. Alexa spoke about the encounter on the Vulnerable podcast, saying that Britney apologized to her after the fact.
But now, the 40-year-old pop superstar seems to have taken to Twitter to offer another apology to the 30-year-old actress. Although she did mention Alexa by name, Britney’s message seems to be directed at her. Britney wrote:
“It broke my heart to see your interview about your experience in the business. I know it’s 15 years later what you are sharing but trust me … I know it still matters. Although I have apologized to you personally just by ‘instinct’ my heart at the time didn’t know how incredibly good my family was with the ACTING LANGUAGE !!!”
Britney opened up about what went down that day, recounting that she came on set heavily pregnant and that Jamie Lynn was “sobbing telling me that she’s being bullied on set.” Britney went on to say:
“The assistant director and my mom included in the room were just silent. My sister was literally like my daughter growing up … so I apologize for my ignorance for yelling at you when I obviously had no idea what was really going on !!!”
She said that her mom Lynn Spears “should have immediately stepped in and took over the situation,” before concluding with:
“The way you spoke gave me strength and inspiration but I do write you this message today because I am sorry for ever hurting your feelings !!! You should tell Nickelodeon to kiss your a-s !!!”
