Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari are going through a heartbreaking time.
The couple took to social media to share that they lost their “miracle baby” just over a month following the announcement that they were expecting their first child together.
Britney and Sam’s joint post revealing their devastating loss reads:
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announced that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news.”
The heartbreaking statement continued:
“Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.
We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
In the caption of her post, Britney wrote:
“We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support.”
Sam promised in her comments section:
“We will have a miracle soon.”
Britney and Sam announced their engagement back in September, after meeting in 2016. They announced earlier this month that they had officially set the date for their upcoming nuptials.
Just last month, Britney revealed that she was pregnant with her and Sam’s first child.
Britney is already mom to sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James. 15.
