Bruno Mars and BLACKPINK’s Rosé have teamed up for a playful new single titled “Apt.,” which is a nod to the popular Korean drinking game “Apartment.”

The lively track brings a fun, nostalgic vibe, with a beat reminiscent of Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl.” Mars and Rosé’s dynamic chemistry shines as they trade lyrics over a punk-pop backdrop, with a catchy chorus: “Don’t you want me like I want you, baby / Don’t you need me like I need you now / Sleep tomorrow but tonight go crazy.” The duo’s energy is contagious, making it impossible not to sing along.

Ahead of the song’s release, Mars and Rosé teased their collaboration online. The official cover art, shared Thursday morning, shows the pair rocking leather jackets, with Mars seated behind a drum set. The day before, Mars hinted at their upcoming project on social media, posting a black-and-white photo of himself and Rosé. In the playful caption, he revealed how their collaboration came about after she introduced him to the Korean drinking game.

“She got me saucy with that game, and then tried to kiss me,” Mars joked. “I was like, ‘Woah Rosie! What part of the game is this?’ She laughed and said, ‘Big Rosie doesn’t play games!’”

As for the song’s title, Rosé shared the inspiration behind it during an interview with Vogue. She explained that “Apt.” is based on her favorite drinking game from Korea. “I remember leaving the studio a little freaked out, wondering if it was okay that I wrote a song about a drinking game,” she recalled. Feeling unsure, she asked her team to delete the song from their phones, only to find out they were already hooked. The title sticks to the Korean pronunciation of “apartment,” or apateu (아파트), adding a personal touch to the playful track.

“Apt.” is a true pop anthem that’s sure to get people chanting, much like Gwen Stefani’s iconic “B-A-N-A-N-A-S!” bridge from “Hollaback Girl”—but this time, it’s all about “Apartment! Apartment!” Expect to hear it on repeat across airwaves and playlists soon.

Rosé is also gearing up for a major moment in her solo career. She recently announced that her debut solo album, Rosie, is set to drop on December 6. “I have poured my blood and tears into this album,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie is the name my friends and family call me, and I hope you all feel that much closer to me with this album.”

Meanwhile, Bruno Mars continues to stay busy following his collaborations. His last solo album, 24k Magic, came out in 2016, but he’s since worked with Anderson .Paak on An Evening With Silk Sonic. Just this past August, Mars released “Die With a Smile” alongside Lady Gaga, debuting the romantic ballad live during his headlining show at the Intuit Dome in California. The song quickly climbed the charts, landing at Number Three on the Billboard Hot 100.

With “Apt.,” Mars and Rosé are bringing fans an upbeat, unforgettable track that’s bound to become a favorite.
