Camila Mendes is getting candid about the future of Riverdale.

The 27-year-old actress, who plays Veronica Lodge on the show, has opened up on when she thinks the CW series might end.

Speaking to ET on the red carpet at Michael Kors’ Fall-Winter 2022 show at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday night (February 15), Camila shared her thoughts on the show based on the iconic Archie comics.

She candidly said that Riverdale, which is now on its sixth season, may end after season 7:

“I give it another season. I think we’ll go through season 7.

Here’s hoping. We’ll see.”

She also declared that “nothing shocks” her about the show and its outrageous plot twists anymore:

“It’s all like, ‘OK, yeah. That makes sense.”

Camila is the latest Riverdale star to voice their thoughts on the show’s fate. Back in December, Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones, likewise revealed when he believes the show may end:

“I think just in a straight-up legal sense, contractually it started at seven seasons, which is a pretty standard contract for film and television, so I don’t know what happens after that.

But the world of Riverdale is open-ended enough to kind of flex alongside that.”

Cole went on to say:

“But I think the quality of a wonderful program is knowing how to wrap it up and say, ‘Hey, we love you guys. This is the end, and I hope you guys enjoyed the ride.”
