Camille Razat is saying au revoir—for now.
The French actress, who’s played Camille on Emily in Paris since the show’s debut, has confirmed that she won’t be returning for season five. And yes, she knows fans are going to have questions.
In an exclusive statement to TVLine, Camille shared: “After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience — one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories. I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily In Paris world.”
Camille’s exit follows her character’s emotional arc in season four. After a breakup and a pregnancy false alarm, Camille ends the season single and considering adoption—a dramatic turn that left fans wondering what’s next.
Turns out, what’s next might not include Paris—at least not right away.
Camille has been with the show since the start, and while she was initially introduced as a supporting character, she quickly became central to the storylines. Her complex friendship with Emily, on-again-off-again romance with Gabriel, and distinct Parisian style made her a fan favorite.
But stepping back, Camille says, felt right.
Whether she’ll be back for guest appearances or down the line is still unclear, but showrunners have made it clear the door is open. Fans aren’t giving up hope just yet—and knowing this show’s flair for drama and surprise returns, we wouldn’t either.
As for what Camille’s up to next? She hasn’t shared specific plans, but with her star steadily rising, we’re betting big things are ahead. In the meantime, the Emily in Paris world won’t be quite the same without her.
