Fill your Friday nights with fantasy, music and action – plus a whole lot of laughs! Check out the newest live-action puppet comedy series to hit the screens – The Barbarian And The Troll.
Meet Brendar – once a member of the Royal Order of Warrior Princesses, but is now known as a “feared and revered” barbarian. She’s fierce – in more ways than one. And she’s out to defeat the evil demon who has imprisoned her brother.
Then, there’s Evan – a bridge troll who burned his bridge to pursue his lifelong dream to be a singer because…well, YOLO.

The two meet and become unlikely allies on Brendar’s quest – travelling through treacherous terrain, facing bizarre and magical creatures, and meeting a bunch of wacky characters along the way. It’s puppets and laughs galore in this fun-tastic show for the whole family.
The show premiered on April 2 on Nickelodeon – and to celebrate, they had an exclusive drive-in screening of The Barbarian And The Troll on Tuesday night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Guests got to meet Brendar and Evan IRL – socially-distanced, of course!
The Barbarian And The Troll is co-created and executive produced by Mike Mitchell (Trolls, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part) and Drew Massey. Mike also serves as the show’s primary director, while Drew is the master puppeteer animating and voicing Evan. The show also features the voices of Spencer Grammer (Rick & Morty) as Brendar the Barbarian, and veteran voice actor Phil LaMarr (MADtv, Samurai Jack, Futurama) as Steve the Knight, and more.
