What a love-filled weekend! A power couple just got engaged, and two couples have made things official over the weekend!
On Saturday (March 9), Lea Michele tied the knot with Zandy Reich over at Napa, California. Chance The Rapper also married his long time love, Kristen Corley, in Newport, California on the same day!
Lea Michele + Zandy Reich
The Glee alum and her fiancé Zandy said “I do” in for of friends and family in an intimate ceremony in Northern California.
In May of last year, Lea shared on Instagram that her bestie, Jonathan Groff, would be the Maid of Honor. And, as if their wedding couldn’t get any cuter, Us Weekly reports that their ceremony was officiated by none other than Glee creator Ryan Murphy. Among her guests were Becca Tobin and Darren Criss.
Lea and Zandy have been dating since July of 2017. The Scream Queen star and the president of AYR clothing confirmed their engagement last April, with the bride-to-be showcasing her striking bling – a 4-carat elongated, radiant-cut ring, which Zandy personally designed with help from Leor Yerushalmi and The Jewelers of Las Vegas.
In July, JoAnna and Stephanie threw the couple an unforgettable engagement party – which had a star-studded guest list that included Ashley Tisdale, Hilary Duff, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Becca Tobin, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts and Evan Peters.
By August, Lea revealed she already found the wedding gown of her dreams.
Last month, Lea said goodbye to single life on her bachelorette party in Hawaii with Emma Roberts, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Becca Tobin, and her bestie Stephanie Levinson.
Now, Lea and Zandy have tied the knot!
“We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family,” the couple told PEOPLE. “And most of all, we’re so happy to spend the rest of our lives together.”
Chance the Rapper + Kirsten Corley
Chance the Rapper (real name Chancellor Bennet) has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Kirsten Corley.
These two have known each other since they were kids, and Chance knew she was the one as soon as he saw her. They now have a beautiful three-year-old daughter named Kensli. Last year, the 25-year-old rapper proposed to Kirsten in front of family and friend during a 4th of July party.
In a video shared on social media, Chance got down on one knee and said:
“Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” Chance is seen asking in a video of
The rapper later gave an update on Twitter of how his proposal turned out: “She said yes.”
The Shade Room’s Instagram account shared photos from their wedding, where they transformed an outdoor venue into a dreamy wonderland filled with white roses. The bride was gorgeous in a strapless white gown and Chance rocked a white tux with black pants. His longtime pal, Kanye West, and his wife, Kim Kardashian West were photographed at the wedding as well.
Before the ceremony, Chance shared the adorable story of how they met.
“Story time. A thread on how I met my wife,” Chance began on Twitter, sharing a throwback photo of Kristen, which was taken on the day they met.
He recounted how he and his dad and brother went with his mom to an office party. Being nine at the time, he said he probably wasn’t paying any attention to what was going on…
“But THEN…out of nowhere, we were all told to make room, to spread out and make a circle for a presentation.
This office full of adults, Taylor (his brother) and myself formed a semi-circle and from the back stepped out 3 young girls. Who were not Destiny’s Child…”
One of those girls was Kristen, and Chance couldn’t help but stare at her.
“Now I’m locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-decade of life on earth … I really shouldn’t even say locked eyes cause really, I was just staring at her; as she and her girls were conquering this choreography…”
When his dad wanted him to perform as well (‘cause his dad was really proud of him for having won two school talent shows for dancing by that time), he refused. He also got really shy – he didn’t even introduce himself!
“This wasn’t the time or place. Not just because it wasn’t my party, not because it was their moment to dance, not even cause I was nervous about dancing in front of folks. It’s cause I knew I was gonna marry that girl.”
“So I shook my head with anxiety, moved to the back of the crowd and never even introduced myself,” he continued. “16 years later it’s happening this [weekend] is the time, and the place is my wedding. I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.”
Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds!
