“This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
Robert De Niro:
“I’m very sad to hear of the tragic passing of Anne Heche. She was a wonderful actress and I enjoyed working with her tremendously in ‘Wag The Dog.’ Sad!Sad!Sad!”
James Gunn:
“Honest to God, I think maybe the best acting performance I’ve ever seen in my life was Anne Heche in PROOF on Broadway. #RIP”
Rosanna Arquette:
“Rest In Peace now Anne.”
Stephen Kunken:
“Some years ago I was Anne Heche’s quirky suitor in PROOF on Broadway. She was as kooky and utterly fabulous as I could have ever dreamed. An immense talent I loved playing opposite & more importantly a truly decent human and friend. The news is just unendingly sad.”
Taryn Manning:
“Anne, we had only just met but I do know that you were very loved by our mutual friends and management team, and for this, I also loved you and saw all the magic in you. I love this article and what they wrote about YOU. I commend The Guardian and how they celebrated you and your essence after a week of the lovely press who had alleged this and that about this tragic accident. I saw your heart too and I know you were a renegade in Hollyhood and that’s pretty rad to maintain in this business. I saw you and and some similarties in our upbringings as well. Though you were a freakin wild child and I wanted to bottle your energy, I know how truly authentic and sincere to who you are was. I agree about your intelligence and how you carved your own lane but now you are free from the chains that bind us here on earth. Go be that free spirit, fairy princess I saw in you. Maybe for now you are actually the lucky one. I do know there are and will be lots of heavy hearts left here behind, in purgatory (aka planet earth as we know it now) praying for you to soar to the highest mount, straight into that light. Pray for us down here too! You’re an awesome lady! You will be missed!”
Kid Vicious:
“My heart goes out to Anne Heche’s children. No child should lose their mother at such a young age.”
Laura Wright:
“RIP – so tragic and heartbreaking 💔 @AnneHeche #daytime”
Deedee Pfeiffer:
“My heart breaks for Anne Heche and for all involved in this tragic story. Addiction is extremely complicated and layered. This is such a sad day and yet not an unfamiliar day for many who have known or loved somebody with an addiction…It’s important to remember that this woman who was sadly active in her disease was also a mother. Her son has lost his mother to her disease, like so many. Out of respect for her son, it’s important to remember that addiction is a disease, not a choice. 🕊️🕊️🕊️”
Ed Helms:
“Anne Heche news today is so heartbreaking. A truly epic, vibrant spirit and a profound talent. Sending tremendous love and support to her family.”
