Charlie Puth is speaking out about his own experience with Ellen DeGeneres following Greyson Chance’s bombshell revelations.

In case you did not know Greyson recently spoke out about working with Ellen in his teenage years. Following a viral performance, he was signed onto her label eleveneleven, and he referred to Ellen as being “blatantly opportunistic,” among other things.

Now, Charlie is revealing that he did not have the exact same experience as Greyson when he was also signed to Ellen’s label — but that he too did not have the best time there.

In a new interview, the 30-year-old performer talked about how his and Greyson’s experiences compared. During a conversation with Rolling Stone, Charlie said:

“We both have different experiences, me versus Greyson.”

He went on to say that they do have something in common:

“But I do agree with him that no one was present, certainly, after the creation of my first demo EP. Not putting any blame on one person, but from a collective…

All the people that were in that room, they just disappeared. I didn’t hear from anybody.”

However, Charlie expressed his disagreement on the way that Ellen has been depicted:

“People describe Ellen as rude.

I’ve never experienced that. Maybe she likes me.”
