Cher has a new man in her life.
The legendary pop icon has announced that after being single for years, she is now officially seeing someone.
After being photographed holding hands with Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards, Cher took to Twitter to confirm that she and the music producer are dating — and that she is happy.
Fans began to suspect there was something going on with the singer when she took to social media on November 1 to tweet:
“One part of my life is SO AMAZING.”
Shortly after that, she was seen holding hands with A.E. in West Hollywood. He was even photographed kissing her hand at one point during their outing.
The following day, Cher responded to a tweet that said “Someone’s got a new boyfriendddd” with a simple “YESSSSS.”
A few days later, she took their relationship to the next level and made things social media official. She posted a screenshot of the music producer and wrote “Alexander” complete with a red heart emoji. A fan then asked, “IS THIS YOUR NEW MAN!?” to which she replied with a smiling emoji surrounded by hearts.
Cher then went on to share that they met during Paris Fashion Week and he has met everyone in her family. When a fan expressed concern regarding A.E.’s intentions, Cher declared:
“As we All Know…I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY, & What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance.I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am.”
Another followed said, “He better be treating you like the queen you are!” She replied:
“LIKE A 👑.”
Cher also dismissed their 40-year age gap:
“Love doesn’t know math.”
And followed up that tweet by stating:
“I’m Not Defending us.Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’t Matter That we’re Happy & Not Bothering Anyone.”
