Captain America is giving props to a real-life hero – who’s only six years old!

According to his aunt, Nicole, who shared the story on Instagram, Bridger Walker bravely protected his little sister even though he knew he would get hurt in the process. It quickly went viral, and the Avengers are responding!

It seems even Cap himself was impressed with the you boy’s bravery. Chris Evans videotaped a sweet personalized message for a young boy who saved his sister from an attacking dog.

“This is a message for Bridger – hey Bridger, Captain America here – how are you doing buddy?” Chris began.

“So I read your story and I saw what you did – now I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of this over the last couple days, but let me be the next one to tell you, wow, you’re a hero,” he continued. “What you did was so brave, so selfless – your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you.”

He even had a little surprise for the young hero.

“I’m going to track down your address and I’m going to send you an authentic Captain America shield because pal, you deserve it,” he said.

“Keep being the man you are. We need people like you,” he added. “Hang in there. I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think there’s much that can slow you down.”

And signed off with, “Bye buddy.”

But Chris wasn’t alone in praising Bridger’s heroic deed.

Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Avengers franchise, also responded, saying, “Real courage isn’t dominating people or fighting against people or walking around like a tough guy. Real courage is knowing what is right to do and doing it even when it might end up hurting you somehow,” the actor wrote in the comments.

Thor star Chris Hemsworth, went on Instagram Stories with a message for Bridger as well, calling him an “absolute inspiration” and praised the boy’s courage, which he says is “beyond belief.”

“We are all a;sp impressed by you and we’re thinking of you…We’d be honoured to have you on the team mate, we love you and we’re sending you our support,” he said on the video.

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, commented on the original post, writing, “The first avenger💪🏻. What fortitude and heart ❤️.”

Many other onscreen superheroes were impressed with Bridger’s bravery, including Robbie Amell (who plays Firestorm on The Flash), Brie Larson (who plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel films), and Grant Gustin (who plays the Flash on The CW series).
