Chris Pratt’s latest post on social media has been getting a lot of reactions — and it even made his ex-wife, Anna Faris, a top trending topic on Twitter currently! Here’s why —
On Wednesday (November 3), Chris posted a photo of himself and his current wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, with Katherine gazing adoringly at him as he smiles at the camera. Along with the photo, he wrote this message for her:
“Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!? We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love! She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade.
Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot. It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey. ❤️❤️”
At first glance, the post is a very sweet tribute to his wife. But many fans have since pointed out a particular part of the message, where he wrote about how Katherine gave him a “gorgeous healthy daughter.”
The inclusion of the word “healthy” is something that has gotten people talking, because they made a connection between using the word “healthy” and the fact that Chris’ son with Anna has had health issues since birth.
Many fans and readers across the internet have called out Chris’ wording of choice, particularly since Anna has been very open about their son Jack’s struggles.
Anna and Chris started dating in early 2007. They wed in 2009 and separated in 2017. They share nine-year-old son Jack.
Here’s what Anna has shared about Jack’s health issues over the years. Back in 2018, she said:
“When Jack was born two months early, it came as a huge shock. And suddenly, your world completely shifts.
The doctors and nurses that helped us and surrounded us were so unbelievably supportive that it inspired Chris and I to get involved in [supporting the organization GAPPS]. Jack has a few surgeries – he had a few hernia surgeries, he’s had a few eye surgeries and he had a little heart issue as well.”
Now, fans are rallying around Anna in the wake of Chris’ post, which has been deemed by many to be needlessly insensitive.
