Days after getting voted off Dancing With The Stars, pro dancer Gleb Savchenko announced that he and his wife of 14 years, Elena Samodanova have split.
“It is with a heavy heart that I tell you my wife and I are parting ways after 14 years of marriage,” Gleb wrote on Instagram. “We still intend to co-parent our wonderful children together who we love so dearly, and we will strive to continue to be the best parents that we can to them. We ask that you respect our family’s need for privacy and healing during this time.”
Elena, whom he shares two daughters, Olivia and Zlata, with, also announced the split in an Instagram Story, writing, “After 14 years of marriage, with my deepest sadness, our road is coming to an end,” along with a broken heart emoji.
She also posted a note on her feed that reads, “i don’t hate you. i’m just disappointed you turned into everything you said you’d never be,” which was captioned with another broken heart emoji.
However, a Page Six report had speculations swirling about the reason behind their split.
According to the outlet’s sources, Gleb and his dance partner, Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause, were “the talk of the set” during their time on DWTS – at one point, the two reportedly had a huge fight, which left Chrishell too upset to do post-show press, and Gleb sent her flowers afterward.
Chrishell, who recently went through some major divorce drama following her split with husband Justin Hartley in November last year, addressed the rumors on her Instagram Story.
“I am so saddened about the news of Gleb and Elena’s split,” she wrote on Instagram.
“It is unfortunate that this has caused rumors to swirl about my personal life. Having gone through a public split myself, I would not wish this on anyone,” she continued, adding, “As you can imagine, the countless hours of training, and dance rehearsals has created a strong supportive friendship, but nothing more. I wish nothing but the best for both Gleb and Elena during this unfortunate time.”
