There’s nothing like a shared experience – even a painful one – to bring people closer together, which is exactly how Chrissy Teigen and Meghan Markle became friends.

Chrissy went on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday (April 21), where she revealed that she and the Duchess have recently formed a friendship following the pregnancy losses they suffered just a few months apart.

Last September, Chrissy shared that she and hubby John Legend lost their third child 20 weeks into her pregnancy. Then, in November, Meghan revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage over the summer in an essay she wrote for the New York Times.

According to Chrissy, Meghan had reached out after hearing about their devastating loss.

“She’s been so kind to me ever since we connected on– she had written me about Baby Jack and loss,” Chrissy shared.

“But yeah, she is really wonderful and so kind, and just as kind as everyone says she is,” she added. “And that’s why you look at everything and are like, ‘My god, what is absolutely wrong with people where they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy when it’s just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are?’”

“So yeah, she’s a really wonderful person,” Chrissy went on.

Chrissy has had Meghan’s back on social media for years – and it looks like Chrissy is even more firmly in Meghan’s corner, especially when it comes to that subject.

When a journalist criticized Meghan for publicly speaking about her miscarriage, Chrissy jumped to the Duchess’ defense. And during the time leading up to Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah, when the negative press about Meghan was so rampant online, Chrissy called out the press.

“This Meghan Markle s–t is hitting too close to home for me,” she tweeted at the time. “These people won’t stop until she miscarries. F–king stop it.”

She also weighed in on Meghan’s interview with the Queen of Talk.

“I think she’s been very open about what she’s been open with,” Chrissy said. “And I think her truth has been her truth since the very beginning.”
