Chrissy Teigen is assuring fans she and her family are “okay.”
The model and Cravings author shared a post on social media for the first time over the weekend since revealing the heartbreaking news of their pregnancy loss.
“We are quiet but we are okay. Love you all so much,” she captioned a screenshot of the heartfelt message husband John Legend shared on Twitter.
Last week, following the emotional performance of “Never Break” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards he tearfully dedicated to Chrissy, the 41-year-old balladeer went on Twitter to share the video of his musical number, writing, “This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling.”
He continued his heartfelt message in a series of tweets.
“I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world. We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility,” he went on, sharing, “I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test.”
“We promised each other this on our wedding day seven years ago, and every challenge we’ve faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient. Our love will remain. We will never break,” he continued.
He also thanked their fans for all the love and support they given them in recent weeks.
“Thank you to everyone who has been sending us prayers and well wishes, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy. We feel and appreciate your love and support more than you know,” he tweeted. “More than anything, we’ve heard so many stories about how so many other families have experienced this pain, often suffering in silence. It’s a club no one wants to be a part of, but it’s comforting to know we’re not alone.”
“I’m sure Chrissy will have much more to say about this when she’s ready. But just know we’re grateful and we’re sending love to all of you and your families,” he added.
Chrissy, who hasn’t shared a post on social media since their devastating loss, made a low-key return to Instagram last Saturday, commenting on a post shared on the Betches Instagram account.
The account shared a screenshot of a tweet from Kara Morehart, which read, “Just booked an eyebrow waxing appointment and I’m excited I’ll be wearing a mask so I don’t have to hear ‘mustache too?’”
“Finally, a giggle. Thank you,” Chrissy commented on the post.
Fans replied to the comment with supportive messages and well wishes.
John and Chrissy are parents to four-year-old Luna and two-year-old Miles. Back in August, the couple revealed that they were expecting their third child.
Chrissy has kept fans updated about her pregnancy journey on social media – from being put on bed rest to the constant bleeding which led to her hospitalization towards the end of September. Sadly, they lost their unborn baby boy, whom they’ve named Jack, due to pregnancy complications.
