Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently shared some exciting news: Their family is about to be a party of five!

The model and cookbook author has another bun in the oven – the couple’s third child. They’re already parents to 4-year-old daughter Luna and 2-year-old son Miles.

How exciting!

But one fan was legit confused about Chrissy’s timeline for her pregnancy, and went on Twitter to ask, “Was she pregnant when she had her surgery in June? I feel like with her bump she had to be pregnant before that, but I could be wrong.”

As a refresher, back in June, Chrissy went under the knife to have her breast implants removed – she’s even shared photos of her surgery scars following the procedure.

It turns out, Chrissy didn’t even know she was pregnant at the time!

Responding to the fan, she tweeted back, “Oh, it’s quite a story. lol.”

“I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative,” she recounted, adding, “A few weeks after surgery, I took a test. And for many years now, I’ve taken pregnancy tests almost every month, praying to see a positive one day. Just wishful thinking. I never had a positive before.”

“So the morning of John’s album release, he wakes up at 3am to do Good Morning America,” she continued. “I woke up with him and was like man, should take my monthly test to be disappointed….”

“I was not disappointed,” she shared. “But I was scared s–tless. Was pretty positive you shouldn’t get your boobs out while pregnant? Pretty sure.”

“So we prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay. Went to every appointment terrified,” she wrote. “Even without the surgery, I didn’t think I could get pregnant naturally anyway. So the odds just felt…bad.”

Chrissy hopes that her story could provide hope for some. She’s been candid about Luna and Miles being conceived through IVF – and she didn’t ever think that they would be able to conceive naturally.

“What they say so often can be true. When you give up on trying, life has a way of surprising you. In summary, my boobs hurt,” she wrote.

She referenced their fertility struggles again in another tweet, “But man. I hope this gives anyone out there some hope. IVF was an amazing choice for us to be able to make. So hard, but we got two beautiful monsters out of it. I promise you, I never ever ever ever ever thought I could.”

She also got candid about the news came as a big surprise to her and John.

“We joked before about allllll the people having corona babies, we really did. “couldn’t be us!!” “ she tweeted.

“Anyone who knows me knows I have taken a pregnancy test nearly every month since I was 21. I know it’s weird. I just always, always wanted to see a positive. This was the time!” she shared.

However, while they are certainly over the moon about expecting their third child, Chrissy also shared that she still worries.

“I’m still very worried. Part of me misses the safety of my perfect embryos, created in their little dish. They felt untouchable and safe. Now I feel a bit…eggshelly,” she revealed.

She also thinks her hormones might have something to do with how she’s been dealing these past few months.

“Also, you guys have seen how rough these past few months were for me here. So now you know why I just extra appreciated all the love and support through it all, especially since you didn’t even know. You just thought I was in stressful internet hell,” she tweeted.

On Thursday (August 13), John dropped the the music video of his new song with Gary Clark Jr., “Wild.” And, turns out, the music video, which featured the Legend fam – including 4-year-old Luna and 2-year-old Miles – was also a pregnancy announcement of sorts.

Towards the end of the video, when John wrapped his arm around his wife, he also put his hand on her stomach, revealing what appears to be a baby bump underneath Chrissy’s white flowy dress!

A press release for the music video actually alluded to Chrissy’s pregnancy: “Beautifully shot in Mexico, the video is visually enraptured by the powerful and soulful voice and music of Legend, while sharing the modern-day love story of Legend and Teigen and their beautiful growing family. ”

Chrissy has since gone on Twitter to confirm the baby news. Posting a video of herself in front of a mirror, the model and cookbook author showed off her growing baby bump in a pair of black leggings and an open blazer – and it looks like Chrissy’s bun in the oven has spent some time growing since they shot the music video.

“Look at this third baby s–t! What?” she said in the clip, laughing. “Oh my god!”
