It’s no secret that John Legend writes a lot of songs about his wife, Chrissy Teigen – and one particularly sexy song just inspired her latest ink.
Chrissy recently shared a video on social media of her getting a brand new spine tattoo – a delicate script of the words “Oooh Laaaa,” which is a lyric from John’s song, “Ooh Laa” off of his album, Bigger Love.
“ooooooooh la…shoowap shoowap,” the model and cookbook author wrote in the caption, and tagged celebrity tattoo artist Winter Stone.
In the video, John also shared a little backstory about the song.
“Tell everyone about the first time you heard this song,” John says, to which Chrissy responds, “I don’t remember.”
“I remember. It was in our bedroom.” John prods her, attempting to jog her memory.
“I remember the first time I heard ‘All Of Me,’ I remember the first time I heard honestly most of your songs, but not this one,” Chrissy told him.
He continued to drop even more hints. “We had to test run it. Make sure it worked,” he said, before looking directly at the camera. “It worked.”
But, for some reason, Chrissy doesn’t seem to catching onto John’s drift. “Just say it. Just say what you want to say,” she told him.
“The first time we played it on repeat,” John recounted. “It was a good…conversation starter.”

Winter also shared a photo of the finished design on his Instagram. “OOOOH LAAAA,” he wrote. “@chrissyteigen @johnlegend what a blessing to honor Chrissy with this ooh laa tattoo down her spine! John wrote this sexy song for her so naturally she should have it tattooed on her right?!!!”
He also urged fans to listen to John’s album Bigger Love.
