Just two months ago, audiences watched Clare Crawley and Dale Moss get engaged on The Bachelorette.
And, as fans of the show would know, there was a lot of drama that happened on the show leading up to the proposal – after knowing each other for a total of 12 days, Clare had broken up with the other men and ended her run on the show early. Tayshia Adams took over as Bachelorette for the rest of the season.
But it appears the couple may not find their happily-ever-after with each other.
Last week, Clare went on Instagram saying something about having a “hard day.” The accompanying photo also got fans buzzing about whether or not she was still wearing her engagement ring.
Then, just last night, reports of their breakup began circulating.
According to an Entertainment Tonight source, “Dale and Clare have ended their relationship and he broke up with her this past week.”
Another source told E! News, “She’s trying to focus on herself right now but is completely devastated,” adding that Dale is the one who “broke it off.”
As for why they split, the source shared, “Clare and Dale have been fighting a lot recently. They are mainly in disagreement over lifestyle preferences. Dale wants to be in a lively city and focus on his career, and Clare is rooted in Sacramento to help care for her mom. It’s been very tense recently between them.”
“They are both still getting to know each other and figuring it all out,” the source said. “They’ve decided to take some time apart for now….They are still figuring out the logistics of their relationship and if they will stay together.”
Dale went on Instagram to confirm the split: “I wanted to share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways. We appreciate the love and support we’ve received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time. We strong believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself – something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another.”
And just when you thought that was that, Spencer Robertson, who was on Clare’s – and, later, Tayshia’s – season of The Bachelorette, went and asked Clare out. In. An. IG. Story.
“Coffee?” he wrote, tagging Clare.
TBD if Clare’s taking him up on the invite though.
