It was a very big weekend for Swedish House Mafia!
The house music supergroup made up of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso marked the group’s comeback and the release of their debut album Paradise Again with an exclusive virtual party on Friday (April 15) with Spotify Live.
The album release event was held after the first day of Coachella at the Zendaya Estate. It was the first time the Swedes all shared a stage together since their run of shows way back in 2019 — and it definitely did not disappoint! Swedish House Mafia played all the songs on their new album, giving fans a first listen to their new music in a live setting. The group also previewed reworks of their past iconic tracks.
Friday’s exclusive virtual event as a warm up for Swedish House Mafia’s first tour in a decade! Full run of dates will kick off in July, and the release party gave everyone a sneak peek of what to expect when they hit the road this summer!
Swedish House Mafia has been around for 14 years. Paradise Again is their first studio album.
The Swedish House Mafia After Hours Presented by Spotify, Paradise Again Album Release Party Life From The Desert was streamed as a one-time-only affair on Spotify Live. Swedish House Mafia told People in a statement:
“Returning to the stage after so long is surreal. Our new album Paradise Again has been a long time coming, and we’re excited to partner with Spotify for a special album release celebration with our fans after hours.”
In attendance at the release party were celebs like Doja Cat, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Anitta, and Chloe Cherry!
Following the exclusive event, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd co-headlined Day Three of Coachella weekend on Sunday (April 17).
