Cole Sprouse Shares His Thoughts On Possibility Of ‘Suite Life’ Reboot

There’s plenty of reboots and reunions happening, but Cole Sprouse doesn’t think a Suite Life reboot is a good idea.

“I’ve had the privilege of being a part of a lot of fun TV shows when I was younger that kind of became cult classics or fan favorites like Suite Life or Friends, and there’s always that question that pops up. You know, there’s always that, ‘When are you going to go back?’ or ‘When are you going to renew it?’ But I don’t think it should be done if I’m being honest,” Cole told Jimmy Fallon on Monday’s (May 18) The Tonight Show.

Cole and his twin brother Dylan Sprouse starred in The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody, which premiered on Disney 15 years ago. When the show ended in 2008, they went on to star in the spinoff series, The Suite Life On Deck until it ended in 2011.

“I think it’s really incendiary. There’s a huge potential to kind of demolish that perfect little golden memory of a program if you go back and you revive it,” he continued. “Look, I’m not the biggest fan of the sequel and the spin-off thing. I think also, if enough time elapses, everyone who comes back to a program like that, doesn’t… they’re not really in the same head space, so they’re trying to capture the same feeling that it was in at least my childhood. That sort of strange age of sitcom when we were four-camera, live audience and filming in Hollywood. I don’t know how it would feel.”

“I think it would be enjoyable to find a way to do it that has a lot of respect and captures the feeling that people are actually desiring from that. But I don’t know, I think it can be quite incendiary,” he concluded.

During the interview, Cole also shared what’s up with the ‘stache that’s got fans seriously divided – he debuted his handlebar moustache earlier this month.

He shared that he was originally growing it out for a role. But, then quarantine hit, which presumably delayed production. Now, apparently, he and Dylan are in a “violent competition” on which twin has the “more robust” facial hair.

But it looks like they’re not twinning when it comes to their facial hairstyles. Cole says his brother was going for a “full Viking mode” beard – “He’s got this sort of devilish, Shakespearean point to his chin” – while he was going for a “Victorian man” vibe.

What do you think of Cole’s new look?
