Cynthia Erivo is making her long-awaited return to music. The Tony, Emmy, and Grammy-winning artist, who breathtaking plays Elphaba in the Wicked movies, has just released her new single, “Replay.”
This marks Cynthia’s first original release since her 2021 album Ch. 1 Vs. 1, and fans have been eagerly awaiting her next project. While she hasn’t officially announced a sophomore album, her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande has hinted that big things are coming.
“I keep doing this really bad thing where I tease what’s coming, but all of my favorites are on her upcoming album… and I’m not kidding,” Ariana revealed in an interview with Out. “It’s un-f*cking-believable.”
Cynthia’s powerhouse vocals and deeply personal songwriting have made her a standout talent, whether on stage, in film, or through her music. If “Replay” is any indication, her next album is set to be something truly special.
