Danny Masterson has been found guilty.

On Wednesday (May 31), reports came out that the 47-year-old That 70s Show actor had been convicted on two accounts of forcible rape.

Danny is facing a potential prison sentence of thirty years. Reportedly, his family let out an audible gasp after the verdict was read.

He was accused of raping three women at his Hollywood Hills residence between the years of 2001 and 2003. For the third rape charge, the jury could not reach a verdict and deadlocked with a vote of 8-4 in favor of a conviction for him.

All of the three alleged victims were members of the Church of Scientology. Danny is a lifelong member of the church. The victims claimed that the church tried to keep them from reporting his actions to authorities.

Prosecutor Ariel Anson suggestion in the closing arguments that Danny had used with power within the church to avoid repercussions:

“Like all predators, the defendant carefully sought out his prey, The church taught his victims that rape isn’t rape, that you cause this and above all you aren’t allowed to go to law enforcement.

What better hunting ground? In Scientology, the defendant is a celebrity and he’s untouchable.”

Danny’s initial trial was held in November 2022. It ended in a mistrial.
