Diane Kruger is calling for her baby’s privacy.

Diane and Norman Reedus recently welcomed their first child together. The couple have mostly kept details of the newest addition to the family on the downlow, and was understandably not happy when a paparazzi photo of her baby began making the rounds on the internet.

The actress took to Instagram to share an edited version of the photo, where the baby’s face has been blurred out, and wrote an emotional plea to fans, non-fans, the paparazzi and “anyone with a conscience” to respect the privacy of their baby girl.

“Dear fans, dear non fans, dear paparazzi and anyone with a conscience,” she began the caption. “We were just tagged in these paparazzi pictures of me and our daughter. These pictures were taken without our consent and expose a vulnerable and innocent baby.”

She went on to share her and Norman’s views of the situation, not as celebrities, but as parents. “While we understand that some people would like to see a picture of our daughter, we as parents, want nothing more than allow her to grow up in privacy and safety,” she wrote.

She also asked people to help her take down the photos that have been posted. “Me and @bigbaldhead would kindly ask you to not repost these pictures and help us achieve that goal,” she continued, adding, “Whoever has already posted them, please take them down.”

And asked her followers to try and see things from their perspective. “Please put yourself in our shoes. We are just like any parent wanting the very best for our child. Thank you for your support”

Their newborn baby girl is Diane’s first baby, while Norman has a 19-year-old son named Mingus Lucien from a previous relationship with Helena Christensen. It appears they are really trying to keep their baby away from the spotlight – the couple hasn’t even shared their daughter’s name yet;

Norman has shared a glimpse of their baby  on Christmas Eve – her cute little hands holding his, which he posted on Instagram. “A lot to be thankful for this year. [heart emoji] this one especially,” Norman wrote.

Diane has also only shared a glimpse of her baby in a New Year’s Eve post – where she and Norman were kissing, with their baby in the carrier.

“I’d like to thank my love @bigbaldhead for giving me our daughter and for being an amazing dad and partner,” Diane wrote at the time.

Looks like we’ll have to content ourselves with these for now.
