August Alsina seems to be rehashing a very controversial topic.

The 29-year-old entertainer just released a new song that references his infamous “entanglement” with Jada Pinkett Smith. The track was released just days following the 2022 Oscars slap incident wherein Jada’s husband Will Smith hit Chris Rock onstage after Chris cracked a joke about Jada.

In August’s new single titled “Shake The World,” he declares:

“Well, of course some s–t is bound to go down when there’s a billion dollars on the elevator.

Well, of course some sh—t is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite.”

A lot of listeners felt that August was alluding to the term “entanglement” which Jada used to describe their affair back in July 2020 on her Red Table Talk series.

Of her relationship with August, Jada said at the time:

“I guess about four and a half years ago, I started a friendship with August. We actually became really, really good friends. It all started with him just needing some help, and me wanting to help his health and mental state….

I got into an entanglement with August…a relationship, yes, absolutely.”
