Olivia Wilde has been trending in the news for months now for many reasons. But she’s most recently been in the headlines for one very curious thing: Salad dressing.
The 38-year-old director and actress and her ex, Jason Sudeikis’ nanny gave an interview wherein she dropped some major bombshells on the end of Olivia and Jason’s relationship. Among the many details the nanny revealed was an incident concerning Olivia and, yes, salad dressing. The nanny said that Olivia had made special salad for her now-paramour Harry Styles, and that Jason had gotten upset over the dressing that Olivia made for the said salad.
Fans quickly took to speculating on what dressing it was and the recipe, with many just dying to know exactly what that special salad dressing was.
Now, Olivia has seemingly responded to the salad brouhaha by taking to her social media to post a recipe of, you guessed it, salad dressing.
Though many fans initially thought the dressing in question was the one that Olivia shared with Food Network a while back, Olivia actually shared another salad dressing recipe in response to this whole saga.
On her Instagram Story, Olivia posted an image of a page out of Nora Ephron’s novel “Heartburn.” This page features a passage with a salad recipe. “Heartburn” is about Nora’s rocky marriage and eventual divorce from Carl Bernstein, her second husband.
The recipe is for vinaigrette dressing. Check it out right here:
“Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar. Then, whisking constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy. This makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugola and watercress and endive.”
