DNCE is making a comeback!
Joe Jonas’ other band is officially returning with new music. The band’s social media pages on Monday (February 7) uploaded a new logo and updated their bio, which now reads:
“WE’RE BACK TO MAKE YOU MOVE!”
This official announcement follows Joe teasing their new song over the weekend on TikTok.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Joe also opened up about DNCE’s return, and also spoke about how only three out of the four original members will be back. Cole Whittle will not return.
Joe stated:
‘While I was in the Jonas Brothers again, I put a pause on all things DNCE, with the support of my fellow bandmates. So it became this thing where we all went and did our own thing and started to look at what else we wanted to do.
Cole’s been making really amazing music that’s right up his alley, and I’m really supportive of him.”
Guitarist JinJoo Lee and drummer Jack Lawless will be joining Joe in the band’s comeback, which he describes with these words:
“[A] living, breathing ever-evolving pop music rodeo.”
He added that he could “kind of foresee it becoming this E Street Band where members come and go.”
DNCE’s first single back is “Dancing Feet,” a collaboration with Kygo. Joe said of the new track:
“It’s really happy. It’s that feeling of not really giving a f**k and enjoying life to the fullest. I think what DNCE always did so well was bring joy to people, which is what I wanted to do with this new batch of music.
Obviously it’s still very tricky times, but it reminds us all of being able to go out there and dance and enjoy life.”
