Doechii is officially Billboard’s Woman of the Year for 2025, adding yet another huge milestone to her already stellar career.

The 26-year-old rapper has been on a meteoric rise, and this recognition comes hot on the heels of her Grammy win for Best Rap Album with Alligator Bites Never Heal. Her bold artistry and fearless approach to music have set her apart, making her one of the most exciting voices in the industry right now.

“After receiving the Billboard Women in Music Rising Star Award in 2023, Doechii has quickly gained recognition in the music industry for her bold creativity and impressive talent,” Billboard’s editorial director, Hannah Karp, said in a statement.

“With her genre-blending sound, Doechii is redefining what it means to be a trailblazer in the music industry. We are honored to celebrate Doechii and cheer on her continued success,” she added.

Doechii joins an elite club of past Woman of the Year honorees, including Karol G, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. She is also only the second rapper to ever receive the award, solidifying her impact on the industry.

The 2025 Billboard Women in Music event is set to take place on Saturday, March 29, where Doechii will be celebrated among other incredible female artists making waves in the industry.

If you missed it, last month, Doechii made headlines after shutting down rumors that she lip-synched during her show-stopping performance at the 2025 Grammys. Safe to say, she’s proving the doubters wrong every step of the way.
