Doja Cat’s fans are not happy with her.
The 27-year-old performer has been causing quite a stir with her latest statements. In a now-deleted post that was shared to her Threads on Sunday (July 23), she called out her fans for using the name “Kittenz” when referring to themselves.
She wrote:
“My fans don’t name themselves s—t. If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f—king ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
When a fan pointed out that Doja had chosen the name for her fandom herself, Doja replied that she came up with it when she was “an alcoholic teen.”
She went on to suggest that her fans delete their accounts, especially if the “Kittenz” monicker is used:
“Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late.”
And there’s more — Doja responded to fans asking if she can say that she loves them with this statement:
“I don’t though cuz I don’t even know y’all.”
After what went down, Doja lost a good amount of followers on Instagram. She is said to have lost hundreds of thousands of followers after her statements.
