Dora the Explorer is officially 25, and she just threw the ultimate party to celebrate.
The iconic Nickelodeon character marked her milestone with a colorful, jungle-themed event in Los Angeles hosted by the cast of Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado. The bash took over Bacari Silverlake, transforming the venue into a full-on adventure zone—complete with enchanted maps, explorer challenges, and lush Amazon-inspired décor.
The event, produced by Status PR, drew creators, media insiders, and even surprise guests like Nickelodeon’s own Kel Mitchell. Families wandered through the immersive jungle playground with custom backpacks in tow, snapping selfies and enjoying a night of nostalgia and fun.
Samantha Lorraine stars as a teenage Dora in the new live-action movie, which dropped on Wednesday, July 2, on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. The film follows Dora and her friends as they race through the Amazon jungle to protect an ancient treasure—the legendary Sol Dorado.
The new film kicks off a bold new era for the franchise, which first debuted back in 1999. And after 25 years of adventuring, Dora is showing no signs of slowing down.
Let’s be honest—she’s still got it. And she’s only getting started.
