It’s not every day that Drake gets ignored in the DMs, but apparently, even Champagne Papi isn’t immune to the occasional ghost.
Over the weekend, Justin Bieber posted a cryptic message to Instagram, sharing a few moody selfies and writing, “Dm me if u wanna make music together.” It was the kind of vague-but-inviting post that drew attention fast—especially from fellow musicians.
Among the flood of comments was a familiar name: Drake.
“I DM’d but no reply,” Drake commented, clearly hoping for a response.
Oof. No word yet on whether Bieber ever followed up privately, but he definitely didn’t reply in the comments—and fans were quick to notice.
It’s been over a decade since Justin and Drake last teamed up on a track. Their 2012 collab “Right Here,” from Bieber’s Believe album, was a fan favorite and had many hoping the two Toronto natives would work together again. Drake’s comment suggests he’s more than ready to make it happen—but for now, it looks like he’s waiting just like the rest of us.
Also chiming in were Big Sean, Kehlani, and Jaden Smith, all expressing interest in teaming up with Biebs. So, if Justin really is looking for new collaborators, he’s got options.
Now we just have to see if he picks up that DM from Drizzy.
