Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson are reminiscing about being young and carefree in Hollywood.
The two actresses, who both have been in the industry since their youth, recently did some catching up on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show — and even dished on certain similar relationship experiences they both had!
Drew, 46, recalled as she spoke with Kate:
“When we first met, we were young and wild.”
To this, Kate, 42, responded:
“Chez Jay’s in Santa Monica with Luke Wilson.”
Drew added that Kate and Luke were filming the 2003 film Alex & Emma together during that time. And then Drew said:
“I was dating him, I think.”
And she went on to reveal about her relationship with Luke back then:
“But I think he was also dating other people. It was an open relationship, we were young.”
Kate laughed at Drew’s revelation, before dropping a little revelation of her own:
“I’ve been there with a Wilson, too!”
She was referring to Luke’s older brother Owen, whom she met on the set of 2006’s You, Me & Dupree. Kate and Owen had an on-off romance until 2008.
Drew concluded by saying:
“It’s so funny because when you’re young it’s like, ‘It’s low stales. We’re just young, we’re having fun, we’re playing, acting, hanging out.
You’re not taking it all so seriously, and it was fun and we had the best time.”
