Dua Lipa just made it official: she’s engaged to Callum Turner — and the couple couldn’t be happier.
The 29-year-old superstar and 35-year-old actor first set engagement rumors alight in 2024 after fans noticed a sparkling diamond ring on her finger. Now, Dua’s gone ahead and put those rumors to rest, confirming the happy news in a new interview with British Vogue.
“Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s a really special feeling,” she shared.
Turner teamed up with Dua’s sister, Rina, to create a custom engagement ring, adding a thoughtful, personal twist. “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
While the couple is currently basking in their engagement, there’s no rush to walk down the aisle just yet. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period. I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
Dua first met Callum back in 2020 — just before lockdowns — at an event held at River Cafe in London. He was there, and Ruth Rogers, River Cafe’s co-founder, made the introductions. A year later, their paths crossed again in Los Angeles. “I was looking across the restaurant, and I said to myself, ‘Oh, it’s that really hot guy from The River Cafe.’”
The two fell further for each other over a shared love of literature — they were both reading Hernan Diaz’s Trust. The first time the pair were publicly connected was in 2024.
Dua’s new engagement signals a wonderful new chapter for both of them — filled with love, friendship, and a deep understanding forged by shared passions. Whatever’s to come, it’s clear their future together is looking very bright.
