Big changes are underway for this year’s Coachella lineup, and they involve some surprise names and an unexpected exit.

On April 4, FKA Twigs sadly had to pull out of both weekends of the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, citing ongoing visa issues. The British singer, known for her genre-bending sound and visually stunning performances, shared the disappointing news on social media.

“im devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues i am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of april across north america, including ceremonia and coachella,” Twigs wrote.

“it pains me to say this because i am so excited to bring you a creation that i have poured my soul into and i believe is amongst my strongest work and i know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows,” she continued. “i promise that i am working to reschedule the affected dates as quickly as possible. for headline shows, please refer to your point of purchase for details and refund information. back to you all with more updates as soon as i have them.”

Stepping in to fill the gap are two major acts: Ed Sheeran and Weezer.

Weezer will now perform on the Mojave Stage on Saturday, April 12 at 3:10 p.m. The band last played Coachella in 2019, and fans of their nostalgic rock sound are already buzzing with excitement. “A desert surprise 🌵 see you at @coachella on the Mojave stage next Saturday @ 3:10 🤘🏻” the band shared on Instagram after the update.

As for Ed Sheeran, he’ll be making his Coachella debut during weekend two on Saturday, April 26. He’s also set to perform on the Mojave Stage at 3 p.m.—not a headliner slot, but one that’s sure to draw a massive crowd. The timing couldn’t be better: Sheeran just dropped a brand-new song called “Azizam” and revealed that he already has the titles picked out for his next five albums. Clearly, he’s in creative overdrive.

With these last-minute additions, Coachella’s lineup is looking more unpredictable—and more exciting—than ever.
