Marilyn Manson is firing back at Evan Rachel Wood.

The 53-year-old shock rocker, real name Brian Warner, has filed a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood following her allegations of abuse against him back in February 2021.

In the complaint filed Wednesday (March 2) in Los Angeles Superior Court, Manson accused ERW and artist Illma Gore of coming up with an elaborate conspiracy to cast him as “a rapist and abuser” and derail his “successful music, TV, and film career.”

Manson identified Illma – also known as Ashley Gore – as ERW’s “on-again, off-again romantic partner” and alleged that they recruited women to accuse him falsely of sexual assault, hacked into his computers and social media accounts, made a fake email account to frame him for illicit pornography, and even impersonated an FBI agent to “create the false appearance” that his accusers and their families were in danger.

He is seeking a jury trial.

His attorney Howard King released a statement saying:

“This detailed complaint has been filed to stop a campaign of malicious and unjustified attacks on Brian Warner. Years after the end of Evan Rachel Wood’s long-term relationship with Warner, she and her girlfriend Illma Gore recruited numerous women and convinced them to make false allegations against him.”

The same afternoon, Manson took to social media to tweet a link to the complaint:

“There will come a time when I can share more about the events of the past year.

Until then, I’m going to let the facts speak for themselves.”
