Ezra Miller is all about what is right for them.
The 29-year-old actor is making headlines once again — this time, for being captured on footage correcting police during their arrest.
In body-cam footage obtained by TMZ, Ezra could be heard asking the police to be careful with their wrists and hands as they are a musician and it could cause “nerve damage.”
They were also captured correcting the authorities on pronouns for them.
When a law official called them “sir” in the footage, they said:
“I’m sorry, I’m not a sir. I’m transgender nonbinary.
Please don’t call me a sir.”
The officer told Ezra:
“I was just trying to be respectful.”
And to this, Ezra responded with:
“If you fail to do that again, it is an act of intentional bigotry and it is a technical hate crime according to U.S. Federal law.
Please call me ‘they/them/theirs,’ you can use the term ‘Mx.’…if you prefer.”
