Britney Spears has finally spoken out about the unauthorized documentary, Framing Britney Spears, which follows her meteoric rise to fame and her subsequent struggles leading up to her current circumstances – including her controversial conservatorship. But now there’s a lot of speculation whether those are her words at all.

Earlier this week, Britney posted a video of herself dancing to Aerosmith’s “Crazy.” She also talked about the doc in her post, writing, “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in … I cried for two weeks and well …. I still cry sometimes !!!!”

Then, Britney’s former makeup artist, Billy Brasfield alleged that he had personally spoken to Britney, telling Page Six, “The content is her, but…the words are NOT how she feels.” He added, “I immediately knew it was not her” and “I texted her about it and she texted me back last night.”

Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause also went on Instagram Story saying her comment wondering whether Britney herself wrote the caption was deleted from the post.

“She posted a video with a caption that went against kind of how she felt previous…and she was basically saying the documentary made her really sad, and she didn’t like it,” Chrishell said. “If she’s speaking for herself, great! We want you to be happy. But it just didn’t sound like her.”

“My comment’s been deleted. It had amassed a bunch of likes. It didn’t sound like her…I don’t think those are her words. And they deleted my comment! And it had a bunch of likes on it. For me, this is proof. Britney would not have deleted it,” Chrishell added.

Fans began wondering if Britney’s social media manager, Cassie Petrey, is behind the post. However, sources say she didn’t even have knowledge of the post beforehand and that it was Britney’s idea to put it up on Instagram. They also say the post was published on the same day that Brit wrote the caption.

“We’re told Brit does indeed feel deeply embarrassed by the documentary, which she’s made clear to those closest to her,” TMZ said.

As of now, Britney hasn’t addressed the speculations on who authored the post.
