Lady Gaga’s much-awaited sixth album, Chromatica, is here.
Gaga has talked about how her past romances have influenced much of her album. And, now, fans are speculating that the track “Fun Tonight” is about her ex-fiance Christian Carino.
As a refresher, Gaga and Christian started sparking romance rumors in January 2017, but it wasn’t until October of that year that they actually confirmed their relationship. Soon, engagement rumors started swirling around the then-couple, which Gaga later confirmed in her speech at the 2018 ELLE’s Women in Hollywood. But by February 2019, they went their separate ways.
Gaga hasn’t really opened up about the reason behind the split, but fans think the lyrics of “Fun Tonight,” which include the lines “”You love the paparazzi, love the fame / Even though it causes me pain/ I feel like I’m in a prison hell / Stick my hands through the steel bars and yell,” is a reference to him.
Plus, Gaga shared also shared an interesting tidbit about the song on her Beats 1 interview.
“In the middle of the record, [there’s] ‘Fun Tonight,’ which is a song that means a lot to me, and every time I listened to it, I get choked up because I can’t tell you how many nights that people that really love me were trying to get me to smile or laugh or be optimistic, and I just had no ability to be happy. It just wasn’t there. But then I write this music and I would listen back and I’d go, ‘Why is that so fun? Why is that so happy?’” she told host Zane Lowe.
And Twitter-verse is buzzing with their thoughts on the song.

Fans are also heaping on the praise on Gaga’s new album.
