Finneas is stepping into the spotlight on his own terms, but he’s not hiding how much he misses touring with his sister, Billie Eilish.

The 27-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer has been an integral part of Billie’s live shows since the start of her meteoric rise. However, with his solo career in full swing, Finneas made the tough decision to skip her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour to focus on his own music.

In a recent interview on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, Finneas opened up about what it’s been like to tour without his sister by his side.

“It’s been very bittersweet,” he admitted. “I only decided to do it because I knew that I couldn’t be in two places at once. I can’t do my own tours and her tour at the same time, and I don’t want to prevent her from touring as much as she wants to tour.”

While being apart has been tough, Finneas couldn’t help but gush about Billie’s current tour. “The sweet part has just been I’ve seen the show a few times and it’s amazing. I think her show is incredible. It doesn’t suffer at all because I’m not there. She’s great, and I’ve come out and done a song or two, but I really think she’s doing the best show she’s ever done. So that’s lovely.”

Despite their physical distance, the siblings stay in constant contact. “I call her constantly,” he shared. “A lot of the time, she’s just kind of being an athlete and resting and doing physical therapy and stuff like that. I just make sure she’s doing okay. I’ve always said, leading up to it and since she left, ‘If you ever need some company, I’ll jump out and just come hang out with you, keep you company on the road.’”

As Billie continues her tour, Finneas is gearing up for his own. His For Cryin’ Out Loud! The Tour kicks off in January 2025, with shows in Australia and New Zealand. Fans can also catch him this weekend, opening for Billie at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 21.

And if touring and music weren’t enough, Finneas has ventured into acting. He stars in the new Peacock series Laid, which is now streaming.

While they’re taking on separate projects, it’s clear that Finneas and Billie’s bond remains as strong as ever. Fans can rest assured knowing that, even apart, they continue to cheer each other on every step of the way.
