Florence Pugh is getting very real about Zach Braff and their past relationship, which for many years was the subject of much scrutiny and criticism — even backlash.
In her cover feature for Vogue magazine’s winter 2023 issue, the 27-year-old Oscar nominee spoke honestly about her romance with Zach.
She addressed their breakup, candidly sharing:
“It’s all very news. My breakup has been very new, so I’m figuring that out.”
Florence went on to say about why their relationship was deemed “different,” stating:
“We weren’t in anyone’s faces. It was just that people didn’t like it.
They imagined me with someone younger and someone in blockbusters. I think young relationships in Hollywood are so easily twisted because they add to the gossip sites. It’s exciting to watch.
And I think I was in a relationship that didn’t do any of that.”
Zach also sweetly spoke about Florence to the magazine, saying about her talent:
“I quite simply think she’s one of the greatest actors of her generation. She’s just magnetic. You cannot take your eyes off of her.
And it’s not just her beauty and it’s not just her acting ability, it’s that thing, that magic thing that transcends the screen, where anyone and everyone goes: I want to see whatever this person does.”
Florence stars in Zach’s movie titled A Good Person, in a role written for her. The film will be released in March.
