They’re giving us what we want, what we really, really want.

Finally, after years and years of teasing and reassuring statements, the Spice Girls are officially returning to spice up our lives. They say they’ll be there – and now it’s totally a reality.

Well, four of them will be there at least.

Mel B (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Mel C (Sporty Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) are officially reuniting for a massive summer stadium tour next year.

On Monday morning(November 05), The Sun’s Dan Wootton gave us a first glimpse of the reunited Spice Girls on social media, and wrote:

“I am so excited – yes, the Girls are back in town to Spice Up Your Life! This is the World Exclusive first picture of the reunited Spice Girls, just hours before they launch a massive summer stadium tour.

Make sure you head to my stories now to read the full story with all the details. And I’ll have lots more this AM on ITV’s @lorraine at 8.30am.”

On the same day, the Girls themselves uploaded a video announcing their tour — and revealing all the juicy details. In the clip, which they posted on their social media channels, Scary, Baby, Sporty and Ginger joked about their infamous mid-tour fallouts. They even hilariously teased Geri for not following the black tuxedo dress code (she wore a glam dress – how very Ginger Spice of her!).

Before the video was uploaded, Emma also dished on her Heart radio show that a huge announcement was coming, stating:

“After 3 o’clock today you will find out everything. I’m just so excited. I want it out there. It will be brilliant.”

Here are the announced dates (so far – we’re still hoping that they’ll expand internationally!):

Spice Girls tour dates 2019
Sat June 1 – Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Mon June 3 – Ricoh Stadium, Coventry
Thu June 6 – Stadium Of Light, Sunderland
Sat June 8 – BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
Mon June 10 – Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol
Sat June 16 – Wembley Stadium, London

Tickets go on sale this Saturday (November 10) at 10:30AM.

But what about Posh?

Sadly, it’s been confirmed that Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice will not be joining the Girls on the reunion tour. SNIFF.

HOWEVER, Victoria did post a very sweet message for them. Taking to Instagram, she said:

“Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012! I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.

I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb.”

Victoria’s absence was alluded to in Mel B’s recent Halloween costume, in which Mel B dressed up as Victoria – holding up a sign that stated:

“No I am not going on tour.”

A friend joined her, dressed as David Beckham. The friend held up a sign declaring:

“Please, please, please do it for the Spice Girls fans.”

And as recent as Tuesday (November 6), Mel B told the Loose Women that she still has hope that Victoria would make an appearance on the tour. She spilled that the five of them burst into tears when they all met up at Geri’s home earlier this year in that awesome mini-reunion that filled every Spice Girls fan’s hearts with pure joy. Mel B said:

“Us five, we went through something so special together we are going to be bonded forever, forever and ever and ever.

Even though Victoria’s not joining us on the tour, she still sends her well wishes and she will be coming along – hopefully, fingers crossed. But yeah, we’re all still there supporting each other still, 25 years later.’

She added about that momentous occasion:

“We all went round to Geri’s for a cup of tea and it was like, finally we can talk about it. It’s really exciting.

When we’re together we don’t like anybody else around us. Whether it’s husbands, kids… we move them all into the other room, so it’s just us four together. So we do a little cuddle and a little ring-a-ring o’ roses.

We kind of cried a little bit too – a sign of relief, finally, we’re going to be doing it.”

The Spice Girls first formed in 1994, going on to become the biggest girl band of all time. They last performed together on stage, all five of them, back in 2012.

Here’s hoping that we’ll still see Scary, Baby, Sporty, Ginger, and Posh share the stage again sometime soon!
