Frank Ocean is going viral for his set at the 2023 Coachella Music Festival over the weekend.
The 35-year-old entertainer’s bizarre headlining performance left audiences stunned. Some festival goers have even taken to social media to share their reactions to his show.
There have been reports talking about last-minute changes in the production. Now, an explanation has surfaced for what went down.
Frank is said to have suffered an injury this past week which then forced him to change portions of his Coachella performance at the very last minute.
According to outlets, Frank “suffered a serious ankle injury after being involved in a bike accident on the Coachella grounds.” The said injury apparently did not occur during rehearsal; rather, he sustained the injury while riding around the Empire Polo Club grounds on a bike.
Reports also stated that Frank’s set was supposed to use an ice rink that was constructed very specifically for his show. The idea – and the ice rink – were scrapped at the last minute. 100 people had been hired to skate around the rink throughout the show, and they were told that their jobs were being switched up at the last second, becoming backup dancers instead.
