It’s been four months since Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcomed their little bundle of joy – and we finally know their baby’s name.
Gigi made a recent change to her Instagram bio with an update that reveals their baby girl’s name: “khai’s mom.”
As for where the name came from, Khai is probably taken from Khairiah, which is her paternal grandmother’s name.
Zayn and Gigi welcome baby Khai on September 21 – but they didn’t share the baby’s name at the time.
Zayn went on Twitter to announce the happy news on Wednesday night (September 23),
“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful🙏🏽❤️to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x,” the singer captioned a black-and-white pic of him holding his daughter’s hand.
Hours later, the new mom also confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing another photo Zayn and their newborn daughter holding hands, writing, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕.”
News broke last April that Gigi and Zayn were expecting their first child together – and Gigi officially confirmed the happy news just a few days after. She’s mostly kept her pregnancy journey on the DL, but has slowly been sharing photos and details from on her pregnancy journey with fans – including the exact date and how she found out she was pregnant.
Gigi revealed the tidbit about her pregnancy timeline on Twitter. “I found out the day before the Tom Ford show 🤯 I was so nauseous backstage 😅 but I learned I could kinda control it if I continuously ate, so my mom would pack me snacks before each show 🥖 🧀 bless,” she responded to a fan.
The Tom Ford show took place on February 7, 2020 in Hollywood, which means Gigi found out she was preggers on February 6, 2020!
Since welcoming Khai, Gigi has also shared some adorable photos of their little bundle of joy’s milestones – like her first Halloween, and her first snow, but so far have kept the baby’s face covered.
