Gigi Hadid has finally given a glimpse of her growing baby bump!
During an Instagram Live video on Wednesday (July 15), Gigi showed off her bare pregnant belly while addressing a recent story about how she’s “disguised” her pregnancy with fashion.
As a refresher, earlier this month, the momma-to-be made headlines talking about her maternity ensemble, which appeared to conceal her baby bump from view.
In a video shared on Instagram, Gigi and Sophie Roe discussed various topics – including comfy maternity clothes. Their video chat made for some pretty interesting conversation, but it was what was in the comments section that got a lot of attention.
One social media user commented: “How do you not have a tummy?? I’m 4 months into my pregnancy and my tummy is huge you look great tho!”
“This angle and the really baggy jumpsuit make for an optical illusion,” Gigi wrote with a laughing emoji. “From the side it’s a different story! haha — wishing u the best! x”
However, when an article with the headline “Gigi Hadid Reveals How She Disguises Her Pregnancy” was posted on Twitter, along with a caption that read, “@GiGiHadid is yet to post a picture showing her baby bump, but her genius disguise gives an insight into her lockdown pregnancy,” Gigi called out the choice of words.
“Disguise ….?” she tweeted in response, followed by a face with raised eyebrow. “I said in a baggy jumpsuit the front and side views are visually different stories- not that that was intentional or I was trying to hide anything. Will be proud and happy to share “insight” when I feel like it, thanks.”
“For now I am proudly experiencing and sharing this time with my family and loved ones,” she added.
On Wednesday, Gigi once again addressed the story, “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you didn’t look pregnant in your jumpsuit on your last Live.’ That’s because this way [front on], I’m going to look normally how I look in this,” Hadid said, before revealing her bare baby bump under her top. “The reason I say it’s a different story is like… there’s my belly, y’all. Like, it’s there. It’s just that, from the front, it’s different. You know what I mean?
News broke in April that the 25-year-old model is expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik – she confirmed the news in an interview with Jimmy Fallon back in April. According to her mom, Yolanda, who’s every excited to become an “Oma,” the baby is due sometime in September.
Although her updates on her pregnancy are few and far between, Gigi says she has been documenting her pregnancy. She will be sharing content with fans, too – when she feels ready.
